Fried Chicken and Gyros, Seven Days a Week
Texas Fried Chicken & Gyro is a shop on North Highland Avenue in Ossining that does two things side by side: fried chicken by the piece or by the bucket, and gyros and shawarma on pita or over rice.
The Chicken Side
Single wings and drumsticks up to party buckets, Wing Zings hot or mild, tenders, nuggets and popcorn chicken, with mac and cheese, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and onion rings next to them.
The Gyro Side
Lamb, chicken or combo gyros on pita with white sauce and hot sauce, and platters of chicken tikka, grilled beef, shrimp or falafel over rice or salad.
Burgers, a chicken sandwich and baskets of shrimp or fried calamari round out the menu, and the big buckets are built for a party. Order online for takeout, or call the shop.
